Job Description: Senior Graphic Designer

Ketchum DC is currently looking for a Senior Designer for their growing in-house creative department. This position will be supporting our team of art directors and designers to develop a wide variety of work for clients ranging from social marketing, public affairs to consumer health and wellness.

Candidate must have a great understanding of layout, type and color with an aptitude for designing in both the print and web worlds. Main focus will be to design print collateral, websites (front-end), corporate identity, direct mail, PowerPoint presentations and some advertising. In this role, you will collaborate with account and creative teams on a range of products. You'll develop concepts and execute work that meets objectives and strategies. Your innate ability to manage multiple projects while working closely with art directors and production managers will be a plus. Responsibilities will also include producing final files for print production.

Individual projects will be assigned with clear budget, schedule, and creative requirements. We are fast-paced but respectful of the careful and detailed time schedules that are required to do quality design and development. The desire to learn, add new skills, and push oneself to the next level is a must. In this role you will contribute to ongoing development and organization of design tools, templates, digital assets, image library, and creative resources.

Requirements: 6+ years of print and web design experience Agency experience is preferred Proficient knowledge of the following applications: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign CS3 Microsoft PowerPoint and Word A well-rounded portfolio highlighting your conceptual, design, typographic and color sensibilities An innate ability to manage multiple projects while working closely with art directors and production managers A solid understanding of web usability Working knowledge of Flash and HTML is ideal, but not required Collaborate with other creative and account team members through all phases of development and production
